ARTIST'S STATEMENT

Paramount to the foundation of my art is the singular devotion that the paintings achieve a pure expression of a unique dimension of Light, such that they might show the place of the source of vision itself - in order to bring this light - and it's variant arrays of order, to the visible realm.

The world of Nature is continually in the process of renewal and rebirth, always “just now coming forth”, just now, and now, and now – always like this, always renewing, again and again.

“"PAKARINA" is a concept in the Quechewa language which can mean “place of perpetual dawning” or, “a place where the dawn has just arrived” - with the idea of this event always being in the here and now.

“"SITUY" is a concept that means an inner light whose glow now emerges /comes forth into the Seen realm. - a purity and goodness which, before, was latent, and now, begins to glow.

Art elevates civilization's spirit, by giving us new ways to see. Perhaps better to say, by returning us to the ways of seeng that have become lost to us through changes in culture.

Symluminist painting aspires to advance the tradition of Painting, through the contemplation of the cosmology of Nature, and the cosmology known by our ancestors, with the goal of it's potential to activate and resonate – harmoniously so -with the Cosmology of the Human Spirit.
